India opt to bat against England in first Test


Nottingham, July 9 (IANS): India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat against England in the first Test of the five-match series at the Trent Bridge here Wednesday.

India have dropped Rohit Sharma for all-rounder Stuart Binny, who will be making his Test debut while Ravindra Jadeja is the lone spinner. England have included Ben Stokes for Chris Jordan.
