Mumbai, Aug 4: The 74 th annual general body meeting of Billawar Association was recently held here.

Jaya C Suvarna, president, Billawar Association, presided over the meeting.Nithyananda Kotian, honorary chief secretary, welcomed the gathering, while C T Salian, joint treasurer, read out report of last year’s annual meeting. Ashwajith Hejmadi was re-appointed as the auditor for 2006-07. Later, 30 members were introduced to the  executive committee for 2006-07.

Former president R V Amin and his wife, senior active member K M Mabian and his wife and editor of Akshaya, M B Kukkian, were honoured on the occasion. 

Vasudev Kotian, vice president, handed over a cheque for Rs 37,600 to Dheeraj Kumar, an engineering student.

Dayanand Gujaran, senior member, Sevadal, Rohini Salian, public prosecutor, Shashidhar Kaup, Gopala Poojary, Nithyanand Kirodiyan, were also felicitated. Shankar Poojary, joint treasurer, proposed the vote of thanks.
