Mangalore, Aug 6: Book your train tickets on-line, Karnataka Bank makes it easy.

With an agreement being signed between Karnataka Bank and Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC), the bank has enabled Internet Banking facility as a payment gateway for online booking of train tickets.

Having successfully implemented the Core Banking Solution, Karnataka Bank has brought another IT driven service.

The procedure for on-line payment to the Railways for your ticket is as under:

To book tickets online, you have to get connected to the IRCTC website www.irctc.co.in. Register yourself with User Name and Password of your choice. The same User Name and Password should be used for your future login and booking of tickets. Once registered, you can book tickets as per your requirement. Online payment can be made through MoneyClick.

On successful booking transaction, the I-ticket (i-ticket refers ticked booked via Internet), IRCTC will courier to its customer in 2-3 days.
