Mother of 21 children forced to beg for food; eats rabbits and parrots to survive


Rajasthan, Jul 12 (News18) :  Narayani, Mohini, Kaani, Jeevan, Gyarseelal, Pappu, Bhanwar, Bhagvani, Santoshi, Manoj, Kailash, Jhabar, Munni and so on. They are not a group of children beloning to a locality, but Mangalram and Saamri's 21 children making it a family of 23.

According to a report in Rajasthan Patrika, the couple, who live in Dantaramgarh in Sikar district, got married 25 years ago are parents to 21 children. Saamri was 13-year-old during her marriage.

After each delivery, she has been fed 5 kg ghee, rabbits, parrots and birds to maintain good health, said her husband Mangalram.

A family of 23, they either work in the fields or force to beg for every meal.

    21 kids??? It's simply ridiculous. No one should feel any pity or sympathy for such kind of people who first create problems for themselves and others and then try solving it. Most middle class people have great difficulty in caring for just 2 kids in modern India. In that case what can we expect for a couple who have close to 2 dozen kids? The govt. needs to introduce stringent punishment for such kind of people. Even by not having food if they could have 21 kids then I wonder if they had food they would surely have had over a 100 kids.
