Udupi, Aug 7: 68th annual meet of Devadiga Seva Sangha was held on August 6 at Udupi Devadigara Seva Sangha Auditorium.

Apart from the other proceedings of the meet, the main agenda was the Felicitations to the achievers and Scholarship distribution to the merit students of the community.

On this occasion popular website devadiga.com’s 5th edition of annual 12th Std Toppers awards were presented for the year 2005 & 2006. Mr.B.G.Laxmikanth Beskoor coordinated this event with the able supported by Miss.Surekha.

The leading community leader from Bangalore Mr.Raghu Sherigar sponsored the Awards for the year 2006 and where as Sadhu Mloily and Prabhakar Devadiga of Libiya sponsored the 2005 awards. Total of Rs.23000 were distributed to the 12th Std Toppers which was highly applauded and appreciated by a huge audience.

President K. Krishna Sherigar, General secretary Somappa Devadiga, Vasu Sherigar and other office bearers graced the occasion. Many community elders and dignitaries participated in this grand event.
  
Sri,Raghu Sherigar has dedicated this prize to his loving mother Late Seshi M Sherigar.
