Palestinian youth killed in confrontation with Israeli soldiers


Ramallah, July 14 (IANS): A Palestinian youth was killed Monday by Israeli fire during confrontations in the West Bank city of Hebron, officials said.

The Palestinian Red Crescent sources said that Monir Badareen, 22, was killed during confrontations between Israeli soldiers and Palestinian protestors, Xinhua reported.

The officials said Badareen was moderately injured in the leg, but the Israeli soldiers prevented ambulances from evacuating him, letting him bleed to death.

At least 172 Palestinians has been killed and more than 1,000 injured during the Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip.
