Puttur, Aug 8: In yet another fatal accident, a scooterist was killed on the spot at Kemmayi cross near here, on Tuesday August 8 morning.
The deceased has been identified as Venkatramana Bhat of Kumbadi. He was on his way to Uppinangady from the city when a KSRTC bus coming to the city from Uppinangady knocked him down at Kemmayi.
As a result Venkatramana Bhat was thrown on the road and before he could recover, the bus moved over his head crushing him to death on the spot.
Reckless driving by the bus driver is said to be the reason for the ghastly accident.
Puttur town police have registered a case in this regard.
