Mangalore, Aug 9 : Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, coastal Karnataka and at many places in Madhya Maharashtra.

Heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in east and south Rajasthan, Andman and Nicobar Islands and at many places in west Madhya Pradesh.

Rains or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal, west Rajasthan, Vidarbha, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Kerala.

They also occurred at a few places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalseema, interior Karnataka, Lakshadweep and at isoalted places in east Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

The southwest monsoon has been vigorous over Madhya Maharashtra, while it is active over Gujarat Region, Konkan and Goa. It has, however, subdued over Jharkhand, east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka.

Heavy to very heavy rains had occurred at most places in Gujrat Region, Konkan, Goa and at many places in Madhya Maharashtra. They had also occurred at many places in east Rajasthan.

Very light rains had occurred at isolated places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, coatal Andhra Pradesh, south interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Rains or thundershowers had occurred at most places in west Madhya Pradesh, coastal Karnataka and at many places in Vidarbha, Saurashtra, Kutch and Kerala.

They had also occurred at a few places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, west Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, north interior Karnataka, Andman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Uttaranchal, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over Arunachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Rayalseema.
