Mangalore, Aug 10: Lions Club International awarded president of DK District Working Journalists’ Association B Ravindra Shetty with ‘Madhyama Mitra’ award for the service rendered to social service activities in the district.
The award was given way at a programme held at the Press Club here on Wednesday, Aug 9.
Speaking on the occasion, Shetty said that the award was for the entire journalist fraternity which has been highlighting all social service activities at various levels.
“There is more to be done,” he said adding that the social service organizations must also explore avenues of bringing about betterment in the standard of living and providing basic infrastructure.
Responding to this Multiple Council Chairperson of Lions Multiple District 324 Kripa Amar Alva was present on the occasion.
