Mangalore, Aug 11: "How can the officials of education department have their salary on time when the teachers who slog whole day for the better future of the students are not paid regularly? There is not shortage of funds with the government.  They why do the teachers not paid regularly?," questioned Capt Ganesh Karnic, member of legislative council.

He was speaking after inaugurating the seminar on education organized by association of Dakshina Kannada PU College principals at Milagres College here on Thursday August 10.

Capt Ganesh Karnic was felicitated by the association on the occasion.  Association president Chandrakala Nandavar welcomed the gathering while secretary P P Joseph red the appeal.  Dr Ismail introduced Capt Ganesh Karnic to the gathering.

Milagres College principal Fr Walter D'Mello presided over the function. Dr Jobi E C, principal of Meridian College delivered the keynote address. Deputy Director PU Education Sheelavati K was the chief guest.  Fr Lawrence D'Souza, vice-president of the association proposed vote of thanks.
