Mangalore, Aug 11: The Pandeshwar police led by inspector Venkatesh Prasanna have arrested one Roshan Martis of Mani near Bantwal here for cheating a city-based finance firm on Thursday August 10 night from his house.

One more person Anish Shetty who was the accomplice of Roshan in this cheating case too has been arrested.  Police reports said that Anish was arrested first.  During the investigation he spilt beans.  Based on these details, police arrested Roshan Martis.  Police said that still four more persons are yet to be trapped in the case.

It said that the accused used avail loan from finance firms, city-based Sri Ram Investment being the main one, to buy vehicles.  Later they used to turn the same vehicle into scrap and sell its spare parts. 

In the present case the accused Anish and Roshan had availed loan from Sri Ram Investments to buy a lorry.  They paid 2-3 installments and later took the lorry to some other place and sold its spare parts.  Accused Anish said that they had turned 6 lorries into scrap and sold spare parts.

Roshan has also been accused of cheating Bank of Baroda and a complaint in this regard has been filed with the Kadri police.
