Four booked for Gurgaon businessman's suicide


Gurgaon, July 22 (IANS): A couple and two other people have been booked for the suicide of a city businessman, police said Tuesday.

Subhash Verma, 40, was found hanging at his house in Manohar Nagar area Sunday.

Police found a suicide note in which Verma blamed the four for his death.

"Preeti Jhamb, her husband Anil Jhamb, Ajay and Nandu are responsible for my extreme step," Verma wrote in the suicide note.

"I have lost Rs.32 lakh by their act. One day, they will force me to sell my property," the note read.

A police officer said Verma did not write the addresses of the four people and police were trying to establish their identities.

Verma's wife was out of town when he committed suicide Saturday night.

She told police Verma was disturbed for some time and he had spoken about the people named in the suicide note.

A case for abetment to suicide and common intent has been registered.
