From Sanjay Borkar in Margao for Daijiworld News Network - Goa

Margao, Aug 15: A children's short story book entitled “ Motianchi Mall’’ (Pearl Necklace), written by well-known writer and multifaceted personality Prashanti Tallpankar in Konkani, was released  by  Ashwini Kamat, a student, at a function held in Konkani Bhasha Mandal hall on Monday evening.

As the book is meant for children, the release of the book was done through the hands of children. Also a school-going girl Barkha Naik spoke on the book, and suggested that the people gathered in the hall read this book as it is as beautiful as a pearl necklace.

 "When I read this book, I found my childhood memories in it. It is written in a very easy language, which not only entertains the reader but also gives a good message to become a good person," said chief guest of the function Ashwini Kamat in her speech.

She also urged the people to read the book with the feeling of a child and re-experience their childhood and what they passed through during that stage.She said, true to the name, each story in the book shines as a pearl.

Eminent writer Damodar Mauzo, poet Ramesh Weluskar, Hema Naik, Sunaparant daily's editor Sandesh Prabhudesai and many other eminent people of Konkani field were present on the Occasion.

Antara Bhide welcomed the gathering. Wedh Prabhudesai proposed vote of thanks and Tanvi Kamat Bambollkar compered the programme.  
 
The Book has been published by publisher Dilip Borkar of ‘Bimb Prakashan’.
