'Government alone can't fulfil health needs'


Greater Noida, July 25 (IANS): Admitting that the government alone cannot fulfil the health requirements of the people, a Uttar Pradesh minister Friday emphasised the need to have more specialised private hospitals in the country.

"The government alone cannot fulfil all requirements of health, so multi-speciality private hospitals are very necessary for our country," Health minister Ahmed Hasan said here.

Hasan was speaking at the inauguration of Max Multi-speciality hospital here. 

"Our doctors should be serving the people of our nation and hospitals like this provide them with good facilities, they will not go abroad," he said.

This private hospital also offers 20 percent concession to the people of lower-income group.
