Manish Sisodia asked to pay Rs.2 lakh outstanding rent


New Delhi, July 25 (IANS): The Delhi government has asked former public works department minister Manish Sisodia to pay an outstanding house rent of nearly Rs.2 lakh.

"We have issued a notice to him (Sisodia) to pay Rs.1,99,596 as his outstanding house rent," said a PWD official on the condition of anonymity.

"A notice was issued May 22 to Sisodia to vacate the house, but he vacated it only on June 30," the official added.

As a minister in the 49-day Aam Aadmi Party government, Sisodia was allotted the government flat in Mayur Vihar Phase II in east Delhi.
