New Delhi, July 30 (IANS): Data networking and telecommunications equipment company Nokia Networks India won 12 key deals with top operators in the first half of the year, the company said here Wednesday.
“The recent strong quarter supported by a healthy sales growth and 12 key deals in the first half of the year reflects and assert our leadership position in the mobile broadband infrastructure and managed services in India. The new reinvented Nokia is at the brink of unique opportunities to be a leader in technologies for a connected world,” Sandeep Girotra, head of India region, Nokia Networks said.
The company bagged nine deals during the first half last year.
The major deals were primarily on 2G, 3G, managed services and IPfication of telecom networks and the company also signed WiFi deal with two top operators, the statement said.
Nokia Networks was formerly Nokia solutions and Network. The company said around 280 million subscribers via 230,000 sites are served by its equipment.
