Six killed in boat capsize in Bangladesh


Dhaka, July 31 (IANS): Six bodies have been recovered after a boat, carrying over a hundred passengers, capsized in the Jamuna river in Bangladesh.

Chawhali upazila executive officer Mohammad Abdullah said the mishap took place around 10 a.m. Thursday in Sirajganj district, bdnews24.com reported.

Abdullah said the boat was ferrying the passengers from Mituani Bazar to Char Salimabad, and sank after hitting a rundown bridge.
