Paddler Sharath loses in semis, to contest for bronze

Glasgow, Aug 2 (IANS): Indian paddler Sharath Kamal lost in straight games to Singapore's Jian Zhan in the men's singles event of the 2014 Commonwealth Games here Saturday.

Sharath Kamal, a former Commonwealth champion, lost 6-11, 6-11, 6-11, 8-11 in 27 minutes.

The Indian paddler will now contest the bronze medal match against England's Liam Pitchford later in the day.
