Washington, Aug 3 (IANS): At Michigan Stadium, record-breaking 109,318 fans witnessed English club Manchester United's 3-1 victory over Spanish giants Real Madrid at the International Champions Cup.
It was the largest crowd for a single football match in US history Saturday night. The previous record was 101,799, which was set at the Rose Bowl for the 1984 Olympic final, reports Xinhua.
Ashley Young scored twice in the first half to help Man United lead 2-1 into the break. Javier Hernandez added another in the 80th minute to seal the victory.
