Tokyo, Aug 5 (IANS): Tokyo shares opened higher Tuesday tracing a buoyant in the US market where the Dow Jones industrial average rebounded for the first time in five trading days.
At 9.15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei stock average slightly gained 15.00 points, or 0.10 percent, from Monday to 15,489.50, reported Xinhua.
The broader Topix index of all first section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 1.39 points, or 0.11 percent, to 1,277. 58.
