New Delhi, Aug 5 (IANS): Passenger carrier Jet Airways Tuesday entered into a reciprocal codeshare agreement with Vietnam Airlines with immediate effect.
According to the company, this partnership will offer guests enhanced connectivity and seamless access while travelling throughout the combined networks of both the airlines.
"We are delighted to announce a codeshare partnership with Vietnam Airlines as it will further strengthen the international reach of both airlines and provide increased benefits to all our guests," said Gaurang Shetty, senior vice president - commercial, Jet Airways.
"We are confident that this partnership will further increase the demand for business and tourist travel between India and Vietnam."
The company said that the arrangement will provide more choice for guests between India and Vietnam, with convenient connections over the international gateways of Singapore and Bangkok.
Under the codeshare arrangement, Jet Airways will place its marketing code on Vietnam Airlines' flights from Bangkok and Singapore to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
In turn, Vietnam Airlines will place its marketing code on Jet Airways' services between Bangkok and Mumbai or Delhi, from Singapore to Mumbai or Delhi and Chennai. The codeshare flights are on sale from Aug 1, 2014, for travel starting from Aug 4.
