Facebook becomes associate member of COAI


New Delhi, Aug 6 (IANS): Facebook India Online Services has joined as the associate member of the Cellular Operators' Association of India (COAI), the social networking site said here Wednesday.

"Joining COAI as an associate member reflects our focus on mobile technologies, access and our continued desire to work in collaboration with the industry to increase connectivity. We look forward to playing an active role as a member," Ankhi Das, public policy director - India & South Asia, said.

Facebook has more than 1.32 billion monthly active users globally, including over 100 million monthly active users in India.
