Kundapur, Aug 25: A scooterist was killed after he went and rammed into a stationary lorry on National Highway 17 at Arate on Thursday August 23 night.

A Honda Activa scooter ridden by one Ashok Shetty (30) was on its way to the town from Byndoor when it rammed into the lorry at Arate.  As a result rider Ashok Shetty, a resident of Talloor sustained serious injuries and died on the spot.

Ashok had married only three months ago.  He owned a grocery shop near Talloor.  Gangolli police have registered a case in this regard.
