SC to hear SGPC on Sikha gurdwaras in Haryana


New Delhi, Aug 7 (IANS): The Supreme Court Thursday asked the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) and an ad hoc committee set up to manage gurdwaras in Haryana to appear before it at 2 p.m. to state their position on a petition challenging the validity of the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara (Managament) Act 2014.

An apex court bench headed by Chief Justice R.M. Lodha asked the representatives of these two committees to appear before it observing that it cannot pass an order without hearing them.
