Beltangady, Aug 25: Christa Samanvaya Samiti celebrated Independence Day at Nainad Church School, Nainad, a village near Madantyar near here recently.
The parish priest and the correspondent of Nainad Church presided over the function. The president of Samanvaya Vincent Fernandes distributed uniforms to forty-eight poor students of the school.
Joe Prabhu, spokesperson and editor, Samanvaya, delivered the Independence Day message and asked the children to learn the value of true freedom.
Gerald Moras, teacher of the school, proposed the vote of thanks.
