Puttur, Aug 26: The Puttur police have arrested one person while trying to sell leopard skin at Salmara Kottecha Hall area near Chikkamudnur here on Friday August 25.

The arrested has been identified as Abdul Rahiman (40), a resident of Kajur Darga area in Beltangady.  He is said to have brought leopard skin worth Rs 50,000 from Moodigere in Chikamagalur district and was trying to sell it near Kotecha Hall.

The police led by circle inspector Mukunda Nayak arrested him and confiscated the skin after receiving a sure tip off.
