Mangalore, Aug 28: The death of 36-year old Nirmala Raj has left several questions unanswered. The women is said to have committed suicide on Saturday Aug 26.
Nirmala, who is the wife of Pramod Raj, had no children. The inability to conceive a child might have led to end her life, several say. However the woman who was performing her household chores jumped into the well near her residence behind New Chitra Talkies. There are also rumours that Nirmala was ill recently.
The Raj couple which was married six years back was working in a private firm.
Hearing the sound of a splash in the well, the neighbours had immediately informed the fire brigade who rushed to the spot. However Nirmala had breathed her last.
A native of Madikeri, Nirmala and Pramod had a love marriage.
