Mangalore, Aug 28: MP and former super cop Dr H T Sangliana has condemned Bajrang Dal for systematic attacks on Christians in 7 districts of the state.  In a letter written to state home minister M P Prakash he has stated that Christian worship places have been targeted for various reasons by Bajrang Dal.

He has added that Christian prayer places in Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Madikeri (Kodagu), Bijapur, Davangere, Bangalore rural and city districts have been vandalized by some fanatic organizations under false allegations.  "Churches have been attacked, the Bible is being torn and Crucifix is damaged in many places.   Though the administration and police know about this, they have not been taking any action," he stated.

He has also said that he has seen such targetted places in Bantwal and Mangalore city. Accordingly he has demanded the home minister to provide appropriate security to minority communities and at the same time control such activities of Bajrang Dal.
