Mangalore, Aug 29: Business development manager, Australian Trade Commission, Bangalore, Chaitanya Patil who visited the city on Monday, Aug 28 said that Australia was exploring possibilities of business expansion in the health care section in the coastal region.
Speaking at the Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) here, Patil said that the focus would be on health care involving high profiled doctors. Further the partnership in providing medical services would create good market for selling medical equipment in this region.
In education research and development programmes would be encouraged. Patil also hinted at tie-ups with institutes offering vocational education and training.
KCCI president A Srinivas Rao, vice-president J P Menezes and honorary secretary M Shekhar Poojary were present with Patil.
