Bangalore, Aug 12 (IANS): A 230-run partnership for the third wicket between opener Washington Sundar (152 not out, 306b, 19x4, 1x6) and Sudeep Chatterjee (104, 171b, 10x4) carried National Cricket Academy to 284 for three at stumps against Haryana Cricket Association on the first day of the four-day final of the KSCA All-India invitational cricket tournament here Tuesday.
Batting first on winning the toss, NCA lost two quick wickets by the 13th over before Sundar and Chatterjee got together for a double-century partnership until the latter holed out at mid-off to present off-spinner Jayant Yadav his only wicket of the day.
Earlier, seasoned new ball bowler Joginder Sharma had opener Chirag Khurana (2) caught behind and then paceman Sachin Rana claimed Anirudh B who was caught at mid-wicket as NCA slid to 21 for two.
