Three policemen killed in Afghan blast


Kabul, Aug 14 (IANS): At least three policemen were killed and four others injured early Thursday in a roadside bomb attack in Afghanistan's Laghman province.

"An Afghan Local Police (ALP) vehicle set off a bomb planted by the roadside," an official told Xinhua.

An ALP commander was killed in the blast which occurred at around 5.00 a.m., the official said.

The Taliban have claimed responsibility for the attack.
