AAP hits back at its leader Shanti Bhushan for slamming Kejriwal

New Delhi, Aug 14 (Agencies) : Cracks in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) are visible to the outsiders, but some party leaders who appear in the media on regular basis, even refuse to recognise the growing discontent and need for internal democracy in the party. Those who raise their voice become target of the selected and are eventually forced to quit the party.

After party patron Shanti Bhushan hit out at Arvind Kejriwal, AAP has called his criticism misplaced.

"The biggest example of internal democracy is the party's decision to contest Lok Sabha Elections on a large number of seats, despite opposition from the AAP national convener, Arvind Kejriwal," the party said.

"Arvind (Kejriwal) is a great leader and a great campaigner, but in my opinion he lacks organizational ability. He does not have the kind of competence which can spread the message of the party all over India, which can quickly create elected structures of the party which nobody will be able to blame," Bhushan said.

"Therefore this delay of 2 years in getting the elected structures in place is a great handicap. This is resulting in different voices," he told news channel 'Times Now.

The criticism coming from the party patron assumes significance as there has been a discontent brewing within the party cadre and even some senior leaders over "lack of democracy" and "Swaraj" at the time when it is gearing up for assembly elections after its drubbing in Lok Sabha polls.

The party last month sacked Karan Singh, a senior volunteer, after he along with other party workers formed AAP Volunteers Vichar Manch (AVAM) to raise issues concerning volunteers, complaining lack of internal democracy in the party. Bhushan had come out in support of AVAM.

The senior lawyer said that since Kejriwal is not an elected leader he cannot claim to be the sole voice of the party.

"Today, since he does not owe his position as an elected person by all India members of the party therefore he cannot say his voice is the sole voice of the party.

Possibly, he thinks that because the National Council appointed him as convener of the National Executive which is why he probably feels his voice is the main", he said.

The thirst for power and dominance within AAP should not be the cause for its destruction. AAP's is the only voice which will act as a deterrant for the corrupt politicians at least to scale down their looting spree. If it is destroyed due to internal bickerings, there is no other resort for common man to depend on ! It is better that all the AAP members remember this !

There has been discontent in other political parties but when it comes AAP the media is at the forefront. AAP is the only party that has opened all its issues i.e., MLA fund, Swaraj, corruption, political funding and many more to the public. Every person has right to put forth its views and if a senior has done it in public domain then the members of AAP will deal with it democratically. Time for Media to shut their mouth on AAP matters and concentrate on corruption that is eating the country like hell.

when you have any organisation. or eeven a facebook group also you should always carry with people , and dont dictate people. kejriwal should learn many things from PM narendra modi how he respected the elders, and colleagues.and how he respect the loksaha bahavan too .Even sonia also face rift within her party . KEjriwal missed very good opportunity to rule india one day because of lacking these qualities.

Whenever there is any news of any conflict within AAP, it proudly display it on front page first column along with the detailed summary of previous conflicts as well...
And when AAP do any Press Conference or Mohalla Sabha, then they either they do not post it or have only few 10-15 words to write on some inner pages like they have lost their memory or can't remind anything .
