Seven killed in Pakistan over water dispute


Islamabad, Aug 16 (IANS): At least seven people were killed Saturday in a clash between two groups in the area between Pakistan's Punjab and Balochistan provinces.

According to officials, the fighting was the result of a dispute over storage of rain water in Barro area, Dawn online reported.

Firing continued periodically in the area between the two clashing groups of the Bugti tribe.

Barro is a barren area where clashes over sharing of water resources are common and have claimed many lives.
