Mangalore, Sep 1: In a bid to step up its drive against corruption, the lokayukta has urged the public to come forward with information regarding corruption.

Addressing a press conference on Thursday August 31, Ishwarchandra Vidyasagar, in-charge Superintendent of Police (Lokayukta), Dakshina Kannada, said that the Lokayukta was looking into all the complaints of corruption brought to its notice under the Prevention of Corruption Act and assured that it was investigating these cases.

He also said that the names of the people who lodge the complaints or provide information would be kept confidential and expressed the difficulty of taking action on cases based on anonymous complaints.
