Two killed in knife attack in China


Beijing, Aug 17 (IANS): At least two people were killed and 12 others injured in a knife attack in China Sunday afternoon, police said.

Cui Zhenyu, 25, wielding a knife started stabbing people about 3.20 p.m. at the Jinhuacheng shopping mall in Yanji city of Jilin Province, Xinhua reported citing police.

One person died at the scene and another died in a hospital. The 12 injured were receiving treatment.

The suspect has been arrested. His family members said he was suffering from depression.
