Mangalore, Sep 2: K Annayya Sherigar has resigned from the post of president of Mangala Credit Cooperative Society.
Speaking to press persons here on Friday September 1, Sherigar cited several reasons like insufficient cooperation from the directors and District Credit Cooperative Bank, pressure to resign and rumours against him.
He further revealed that during the audit of the Society, misappropriation of fund was noticed which led the directors to suspend the general manager without any explanation. When the audit report was published in the press, many depositors withdrew their deposits.
