Mangalore, Sep 2: Some unidentified persons pulled out two Muslim persons from a moving bus and assaulted them at Pumpwell here on Saturday September 2 morning.

Anif (21) and Harrys (19), residents of Farnagipet were assaulted on Saturday after they were forced out of a government bus they were travelling in.  Though details are not yet available about the people who assaulted these two young men, it is said that the group attacked them under the pretext that they were troubling and teasing female passengers on bus.

The group which forced Anif and Harrys to come out of the bus, the, assaulted them with bottles and wooden clubs.  Though they also wanted to attack another person, he managed to escape.  However, Anis and Harrys sustained injuries.  Anif has sustained critical injuries and is admitted in ICU in a private hospital here.  The incident took place around 9 am.

The Kankanady police have registered a case in this regard.
