New Delhi, Aug 18 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi Monday greeted the nation on the occasion of Janmashtami, which marks the birth of Lord Krishna.

"Happy Janmashtami. May Lord Krishna illuminate our lives with joy and the ability to serve poorest of the poor for the progress of humankind," Modi tweeted.
