Kuwait, Sep 3: DAAIZ announces the third consecutive literary competition in kannada script konkani - DAAIZ LITERARY COMPETITION 2006 is intended to encourage and recognize the talented writers. This competition includes the following categories;

1. Article Contest [Topic: Konkani Publications and Books] (Shouldnt exceed 4-6 full scape pages)
2. Short Story Contest (Shouldnt exceed 8 full scape pages)
3. Poetry Contest (Shouldnt exceed 1-2 full scape pages)

Each category will have the bellow prizes;

First prize: Rs.5000 and a certificate [Rupees five thousand only]
Second prize: Rs.3000 and a certificate [Rupees three thousand only]
Third prize: Rs.2000 and a certificate [Rupees two thousand only]
3 Consolation prizes [Each prize will carry a certificate and books worth Rupees 1000]

Rules and Regulations:

1. Anyone can take part in all the three categories, but one can send only one writeup in each categories.
2. The writing should be his own and shouldnt have published or sent for publication anywhere.
3. Last date to send the matter 31st December 2006.
4. Writer's name, Contact details should be written in a separate pater and sent along with the snap.
5. Writings not comprising of the rules, without snap will not be considered for the competition.
[Those who have sent their snaps in the previous DAAIZ Literary Competitions may not send the snap again]
6. No communication regarding the competition will be entertained.
7. DAAIZ judges will review the writings and the result will be published in the leading websites and magazines during April-May 2007.
8. Prize winning writings will be published in www.daaiz.com, MITHR weekly and DAAIZ Special issue 2007.
