Kundapur, Sep 3: Four fishermen who were caught in the waves while fishing in the sea are reported seriously injured.
Residents of Bijadi-Gopady, near Koteshwar Shankar (35), Sanjeeva (52), Anand (45) and Raghu (30) had gone on a boat for fishing.
Their boat was at the mercy of the strong waves and damaged. The fishermen who were thrown into the sea suffered injuries as they fought hard to gain control on the boat. However they managed to swim to the shore.
The boat has been destroyed and the loss has been estimated at Rs 3 lac.
