Puttur, Sep 3: Miscreants burgled five shops overnight!  This may sound far from truth. But on Saturday night thieves burgled 5 shops in Nelyadi and have stolen goods worth lacs of rupees.

Among the shops was a jeweler’s shop and medical store.

The thieves, who operated in a very well planned sequence, broke open the locks and in few places tore open the shutters to gain entry into the shops.

Vanishree Jewelers, Christ Medicals, a CD vending shop in Bhadriya Commercial Complex, a cloth shop and a hardware shop were the shops which were burgled.
