New Delhi, Aug 19: On Friday August 15, a 28 year old nurse was gang raped by two men at the Oberoi hotel on Dr Zakir Hussain Marg in the Hazrat Nizamuddin area of South Delhi. The accused 20-year old youths Neeraj and Rajan have been arrested.

On Friday, the nurse is believed to have come, as usual, to take care of the hotel owner's 80 year old mother was forcibly dragged away by the youths who raped her in the staff quarters.

One of the accused to have been a cook to the owner's mother who has been very ill and therefore housed in one of the hotel's rooms for the past 4 years. The nurse told police that they had sexually assaulted her once before the rape on Friday but had forced her to keep silent by threatening to murder her.

On Sunday, the accused tried to assault her again, but this time they failed and the distraught nurse told her husband all that she had suffered through. Her husband registered the complaint and senior Delhi Police officials made sure the accused were caught and brought to Hazrat Nizamuddin police station were the complaint had been registered.

The accused were produced before a magistrate on Monday and have been remanded to 14 days judicial custody, while the nurse has been provided with requisite counselling.
