Mumbai, Sep 5: Surpiya Sule, daughter of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) supremo Sharad Pawar, was on Monday nominated as party candidate for the Rajya Sabha bypoll to be held on September 18.
She would file her nomination papers on Tuesday, NCP leader and Union Aviation Minister Praful Patel said.
The byelection is being held to fill up the vacancy necessitated by the death of NCP's Rajya Sabha member Vasant Chavan on July 11.
