Mangalore, Sep 5: The health department of Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) on Monday demolished an illegal slaughter house near Kulur.


Operating in a thatched house, this slaughter house was said to functioning for the past 2 years.


It was after the police arrested a father-son duo for illegal sale of beef at Kulur on Sep 1 that the illegally operating slaughter house came to light. Volunteers of Go Rakshana Vedike helped in identifying the slaughter house.



On Monday, City Corporation officers and the police demolished the slaughter house.
