Margao, Sep 5: ‘Jivit’ (Life), a new Konkani magazine in Roman script will be released through the hands of erstwhile MP of Goa, Eduardo Faleiro, on September 6 at 5.30 pm, in Hotel Goa Woodlands, Margao.
Although there is a spate of new monthly magazines coming on the stands in Goa, ‘Jivit' is expected to take its due place in the world of magazines.
Well-known writer Vincy Quadros will hold the post of editor of Jivit.
On Wednesday, Kala Niketan, in association with Goa Konkani Academy, will celebrate the day of first printing press which ventured in Goa 450 years back at Rashol. ‘Jivit’ will be released at the same function.
Jivit is being is published under the banner of Kala Niketan, Majorda.
South Goa zilla parishad president Joe Dias and Prof Nelly Rodrigues will be present on the function.
