Two Ghaziabad minor sisters gang raped

Ghaziabad, Aug 22 (IANS): Two minor sisters were gang raped by four boys while returning from school in Ghaziabad.

Though the incident occurred in Khoda Colony bordering Delhi Thursday afternoon, the Indirapuram police registered the case 24 hours later.

Har Narayan lodged a complaint with the police that his four daughters, aged 10, 13, 15 and 16 years, were returning from Kondli School Thursday at 2 p.m.

He added that Nafees, a boy who lives in the neighbourhood, lured the girls to an abandoned house where the quartet became unconscious after drinking juice laced with some intoxicant.

The two younger sisters were allowed to remain asleep in a separate room while four boys gang raped the remaining two girls.

The elder sisters came home late in the night and told their parents about the ordeal that they went through.

The girls said that upon regaining consciousness, Nefees threatened them against revealing the incident to anybody.

Narayan reached the police station along with the girls and lodged a complaint but it was registered after about 24 hours of the incident.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) district convenor Thakur Davender Singh said dharnas will be organised before every police station of the district if the culprits are not arrested within 24 hours.

He alleged the police helped the criminals to escape by registering the case 24 hours late.

Police official Hardayal Singh said: "We have registered the case under sections 376 and 328 of the Indian Penal Code. Raids are being conducted to nab the criminals."
