London, Aug 23 (IANS): India returned to winning ways albeit in a warm-up cricket match, registering a comfortable 95-run win over Middlesex at Lord's here Friday.
India were dismantled 3-1 in the Test series, suffering innings defeat in the last two matches.
Virat Kohli, who had a torrid time in Test series with two ducks and four single digit scores, finally had something to cheer about.
His almost run-a-ball 71 runs along with Ambati Rayudu's 72 (retired hurt) helped India score 230 all out in 44.2 overs.
In reply, Middlesex, a English county side, were bowled out for 135 in 39.5 overs with leggie Karn Sharma picking up three wickets.
India take on England in the first of the five one-day internationals at Bristol Monday.
