Kallianpur, Sep 7: An Endowment lecture on Dr P Gururaj Bhat, who is considered the Father of Tuluva History was held at Milagres College here on Tuesday, September 5. Bhat was the founder principal of the college.
Dr Malathi Murthy, professor of History at MGM College, Udupi and erstwhile student of Dr Gururaj Bhat and Milagres College recalled the great personality of late Gururaj Bhat.
Dr Bhat has to his credit over 700 articles on Tuluva history.
Prof G S Ramachandra gave an introduction. Principal Fr Fred Mascaranhas presided over the session. Prof Jayaram Shettigar and Prof Hilda Silva were also on the dais.
Prof Ramachandra was felicitated on his retirement by the Humanities association.
