Jebel Ali, Sep 10: Konkani Community of St. Francis of Assisi Parish Jebel Ali celebrated Birthday (Nativity) of Mother Mary on 8th September 2006 in the St. Clare's Hall, Jebel ali.

Fr. Anthony Lopez from Abu Dhabi celebrated the Konkani Mass to a full house crowd of 400 plus mix of Mangalorean and Goan expats. Fr. Anthony insisted on the devotion of Mother Mary and her importance to the Catholic faith. 



According to the Mangalorean tradition the Jebel ali Konkani Community distributed the paddy milk (Novem) to all present and served scrumptious vegetarian dinner of  7 varieties and vorn for desert.
