Mumbai, Sep 1: "Tulu language is the regional language for Tulunadu. Hard work is necessary for the development of the language. Dharmapal Devadiga has introduced the All India Tulu Okkoota that had remained behind the curtain for the last two and a half decades to the world. Wishwa Tulu Parbha is a large project and it is the duty of every Tuluva to make it a reality. Let the love of Tulu be our tool to spread the language all over the world," said Thonse Jayakrishna A Shetty.
Jayakrishna Shetty was addressing the gathering in the Wishwa Tulu Parba 2014 that was held under the aegis of All India Tulu Okkoora and
Tulu Koota Mumbai at Billawa Bhavan in Santacruz recently.
Dharmapal Devadiga in his introductory speech during the meeting spoke of the festival of the Wishwa Tulu Parba proposed to be held between November 28-30 at Pilikula Nirsargadhama in Mangalore.
Virar Shanker Shetty, Vishwanath U Mada, Balakrishna P Bhandary and Mangalore Mayor Mahabala Marla were present as chief guests.
Tulu is the language spoken by majority and everybody should try to keep it alive. The language can be made to live and grow by the show
of might. The Tuluvars of Mumbai have made the culture of the language grow. Let us make businessmen join in our struggle and celebration of Tulu Parbha, said Virar Shanker Shetty.
